Most infrastructure decisions fail not because of the technology—but because the system is misunderstood.

Energy infrastructure outcomes emerge from the interaction of networks, regulation, capital investment, and industrial demand.

Understanding these relationships requires stepping back from individual projects and examining the system as a whole.

Element Systems Advisory brings that perspective to organizations navigating long-horizon infrastructure decisions.

Natasha Dowling is the Senior Advisor of Element Systems Advisory.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

With over a 25-year career in energy and infrastructure advisory, she has worked with utilities, industrial organizations, and technology providers navigating complex transformation initiatives.

Her work has focused on grid modernization, advanced metering infrastructure, industrial energy strategy, and the evolving architecture of energy systems.

She previously served as Vice President and Sustainability Lead for Energy and Resources at Capgemini, advising major North American utilities and industrial organizations.

Her perspective is grounded in understanding how infrastructure, markets, policy, and technology interact within real-world systems.

A focused advisory model.

Element Systems Advisory is designed as a senior-led practice.

Work is delivered directly with leadership teams, supported by a curated network of specialists where needed.

The model prioritizes clarity, independence, and precision over scale.

  • Infrastructure developers and investors

  • Technology providers navigating energy markets

Our Guiding Principle

Energy systems evolve over decades.

But decisions are often made on much shorter timelines—creating misalignment that compounds over time.

Element Systems Advisory brings that misalignment into view.
